The Nakuru Valentine’s Dinner: Your Questions Answered
Valentine’s Day means different things to different people. For some, it is flowers and dinner. For others, it is a quiet reflection on love, commitment and the journey shared with another. This year in Nakuru, Valentine’s Day is being reimagined as something deeper, more intentional and beautifully grounded.
On Saturday, 14th February, the St. Mary’s Pastoral Centre, Nakuru will host Anchored in Love – Nakuru Valentine’s Dinner, an elegant, faith-inspired evening created for couples and individuals who believe that love is not just felt, but built, nurtured and protected over time.
Who’s the Lead Organizer for Nakuru Valentine’s Dinner?
This special evening is an initiative of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru, organized through St. Mary’s Pastoral Centre in collaboration with the CDN Bookshop, Makao Homes, the Family Life and Pastoral Directorate, among other supporting groups and partners. While rooted in faith, the event is open to all — welcoming married couples, young couples, engaged partners, singles and friends from across different Christian traditions and the wider community who value family, commitment and meaningful connection.
At the heart of the evening is the theme “Building Lasting Love in an Ever-Changing World.” In a time where relationships are often tested by pressure, pace, uncertainty and shifting values, this dinner offers a moment to pause, reconnect and reflect on what truly anchors love.
Our Guest Speaker: Rev Fr CK Kinyua

The evening will be enriched by the presence of Rev. Fr. CK Kinyua, the guest speaker for the night. He is famously known for his pastoral depth, clarity and practical wisdom on relationships and family life. Rev. Fr. Kinyua will share reflections that are relatable, honest and deeply encouraging. His message will offer faith-rooted insights on nurturing love that endures despite life’s changes.
Beyond reflection, the night promises warmth, laughter and celebration. The program will be guided by the engaging MC Wess, who will ensure a smooth, lively and enjoyable flow throughout the evening, balancing meaningful moments with light interaction and joyful entertainment.
What to Expect at the Dinner
Beyond a power packed Engagement with Rev Fr. CK, the night will be full of entertainment and fun activities. Every detail of the experience has been thoughtfully curated. All ladies will receive a rose flower, a simple yet powerful gesture of love and appreciation. A glass of wine will be served, adding elegance to the dining experience. Thus complementing the warm atmosphere of the evening.
