Certified Homes MD Peter Nyaga to speak at the Kakamega Real Estate Breakfast

Mr. Peter Nyaga is a renowned real estate personality in Kenya on matters Affordable Housing. Through his company, Certified Homes Ltd, he has turned more than 3,000 Kenyans into proud homeowners and property investors. The organizers of Kakamega Real Estate Breakfast are excited to announce him as a speaker at its first edition. Themed “Leveraging Affordable Housing Opportunities in Western Kenya”, the Managing Director is best placed to share his experience and insights on affordable housing and how we can tap into it for maximum returns.

Getting into real estate

Mr. Nyaga first ventured into real estate after completing his secondary school studies. He joined subsequently joined his brother’s real estate company as an errands guy where he earned his first 1 million shillings by the age of 21 years. Soon after, he started planning to establish his own brand and company. Still in the real estate sector. Which would turn out to be his biggest breakthrough in affordable housing for prospective investors within the country and diaspora.

Leveraging on the experience and contacts he had accumulated at his brother’s property company, he teamed up with 5 of his friends to start their first company that would build and sell affordable homes. In a previous interview, he had this to say “After doing construction for 3 years, I teamed up with five friends whom we together did research and identified a gap in affordable homes. Many Kenyans would like to own a home but could not afford. That’s why we started our first company”.

Establishing Certified Homes

Armed with experience in property sales and marketing, real estate investing, organizational leadership and human resource, Peter Nyaga has remained a force for good on matters real estate in Kenya. Infact, he’s arguably the most influential and credible real estate developer trusted by the Kenyans in Diaspora. This is especially at a time when many people have cried foul of being conned by some companies. Certified Homes Ltd has remained steadfast in providing value and consistently churning out projects for investors to take advantage of.

Registered in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has delivered very many land projects in strategic locations such as Nanyuki, Joskaa Malaa, Kahawa Sukari, Malindi and Kangundo. And the company hasn’t stopped there but rather even developed a whole mixed use property development at Kahawa Sukari dubbed “Sukari Heights”. Basically, the Sukari Heights enables you to own a piece of the highrise building. Either in form of residential apartments, shopping retail outlets, gym spaces among others.

Diaspora Investors

Engaging with Peter Nyaga brings out his passion for creating investment opportunities for Kenyans in the diaspora. He believes that companies here in Kenya owe to the diaspora for viable investments so that they don’t get scammed by the family or friends due to ignorance or oversight. Hence his commitment to achieving the same. Currently, his company works closely with several diaspora organizations such as the Kenya Women In The United States (KWITU Women), Kenya Diaspora Alliance among others. Through such collaborations, the diaspora community can access the company’s projects and get customized developments such as the KWITU Gardens in Joska Malaa exclusively for the KWITU Diaspora Community.

Till now, Mr Peter Nyaga has received countless recognition awards both at the company level and individually. His company has been named the Affordable Housing Developer of the Year for several years by the Real Estate Excellence Awards. He’s also individually been recognized as a personality of the year by the Pioneer Awards among many others.
